Resort Policies
Do you allow pets?
No. Pets are not allowed in any of our units or on the grounds. Bringing pets into the units will incur a $200 free, and the pet will need to leave immediately.
Do you require a deposit to reserve a cabin?
All reservations require a deposit. This deposit will vary based on the season of your stay. Complete deposit and cancellation policies will be provided prior to booking online.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is 2 pm and Check-out is 10 am. While we can usually offer early check-ins, space constraints do not allow late check-outs.
What is the minimum stay?
We do not have a minimum night stay, with the exception of some holiday weekends.
Do you charge for extra people?
All cabins are priced for 4 people, each additional person is $10.00 per day. Cabins may be occupied only by the number of people registered at check-in. Day guests must be registered and may incur a fee.
Do you offer towels at the resort?
We provide towels for all guests to use inside the cabins. If you need any towels or blankets for outside recreation please provide your own. We will swap out your dirty towels for clean ones on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Simply bring your dirty towels to the office by 11 am in the bags provided and we will exchange them with clean ones.
Do you charge a cleaning fee?
No, cleaning the room and laundering linen is included in the nightly fee. However, guests are expected to treat the property respectfully and will be charged for any excessive damage. A cleaning fee will only be assessed if unreasonable cleaning is required; this will be solely determined by management. Please notify the management immediately if there is damage, unsafe conditions, or any other defect in the unit.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
Do you provide linens?
Yes, all bed, bath, and kitchen linens are provided for use in the cabin. Please bring your own beach towels or blankets for outside use.
is there a charge for parking?
No, but there is limited parking available. Guests are limited to 2 vehicles per cabin.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed in the cabins. A $200 cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in the cabins. We do have ashtrays outside the cabins for your convenience.
Boats and Fishing
Because of our launch location, we can only launch boats up to 22 ft. If you have a bigger boat we can help you arrange a place close by to launch your boat. We have 18 covered slips available to rent, some of which will house a boat up to 30 feet. All the slips are well maintained, with newer bumpers.
Do you rent boats at the resort?
The resort does not rent boats but we can refer you to a local boat rental company that will deliver watercraft right to the dock.Do you have a heated fishing dock? Can I use it if I’m not staying at the resort?
We have a two-well heated fishing dock that is available only for our guests.
Do the docks have electricity?
Yes, we have outlets throughout the docks, including in the fishing dock. All cleaning stations have electric outlets.
Do I need a fishing license to fish at the resort?
Missouri requires everyone over 15 and under 65 to have a fishing license. We can help you buy your license online and print it right at the resort.
What kind of fish can you catch around the resort?
The most common fish are crappie, white bass, catfish, spoonbill, and bluegill. But there are many other kinds of fish in the lake. We keep well-maintained habitat under our docks to make sure the fish are plentiful. We also have three fish-cleaning stations for your convenience.
Do you sell bait?
Yes, we keep a supply of minnows and nightcrawlers on hand for fishing at the resort.
Where is the resort located on the lake?
Point View Resort is located on the Little Niangua, 6 miles upstream from the 31mm of the main channel. This area is considered the “clean, clear waters” side of the lake where you can easily enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, and water sports.
Things To Do
Is the resort handicapped accessible?
No. While our grounds are very level for the area and are well-groomed, the natural landscape is rocky and can be uneven. We recommend everyone use caution as they move around the grounds.
What dry recreation do you have onsite?
We have a number of outdoor recreational games available for our guests including Corn Hole, Ladder Ball, Yardzee, and Shuffleboard. We also have a fire pit to gather around in the evening and a fantastic game Game Room (Foosball, Pool Table, Air Hockey, Arcade Games, and various different board games).
What recreational activities do you have that are on the lake?
All of our recreational activities are free of charge for all of our guests to enjoy!- Kayaks

Do you have a swimming pool?
We do not have a pool, but we have two manicured sandy beaches that slope gradually into the lake, providing easily accessible, excellent swimming. We also have a swim platform and a huge water trampoline to provide even more water fun.
Do you have lifeguards?
No. All units are located very near the lake. Please ensure you have the proper water safety devices and that children are properly supervised. There are no lifeguards on duty, so all water activities are at your own risk.
Do you have an air compressor for inflatable toys?
Yes, and it is free of charge for our guests to use.
Do you have ice available for sale at the resort?
Yes, we have a stocked ice machine and ice is available for sale.
